Massive dinosaur skeletons and never-before-seen fossils from China are part of an exhibition coming to Nottingham's Natural History Museum at Wollaton Hall.
The Dinosaurs of China display includes a 13-meter-tall Mamenchisaurus- the tallest mounted dinosaur skeleton ever seen in the United Kingdom.
And dino-lovers for the first time outside Asia can get up close to a Gigantoraptor, the largest bird-like dinosaur ever found, the fossil of which was discovered 10 years ago.
The skeletons and fossils were shipped on an 8,000 km journey over land and sea from China that took 50 days.
The Gigantoraptor was found by Tan Lin Men's Nike KD 7 Grey Pink Australia , a Chinese paleontologist from Long Hao Geological Institute of Paleontology in Inner Mongolia.
"This is the first time ever in the world for the Gigantoraptor to be exhibited in a natural history museum," Tan said. "I hope it will give the people in the UK a better understanding of Inner Mongolia dinosaurs and Chinese dinosaurs and that it contributes to the cultural communication and research cooperation between Nottingham, Inner Mongolia, and other regions in China."
Many of the dinosaurs on display were uncovered during the last 20 years.
Visitors will be taken on an evolutionary journey through the development of dinosaurs.
Adam Smith, the exhibition curator, said: "The dinosaurs have changed our understanding of dinosaur evolution Men's Nike KD 7 Fluorescent Green Black Australia , and particularly our understanding of the evolution of birds from dinosaurs. The smoking gun discovery is the fossil feathers, so we've got in this exhibition fossils of dinosaurs, genuine fossils that show all of the bones, but, unusually, they also show the feathers as well Men's Nike KD 7 Red Hyper Blue White Australia , preserved around the bones, so we know 100 percent that these dinosaurs had feathers."
There are 26 exhibits in the show. Smith said a highlight was the Microrapter, a genuine fossil of a flying dinosaur.
"It's particularly special because it's got four wings," Smith said. "It's got wings on its arms but also wings on its legs, so it's a really an unusual flying dinosaur."
Wang Qi, professor at the University of Nottingham Men's Nike KD 7 All White Black Australia , was key in bringing the Dinosaurs of China exhibition to the UK.
Wang said paleontologists in China have filled in gaps in the understanding of the evolution of dinosaurs and noted that these are exciting and important times for people in the field.
LONDON, July 2 (Xinhua) -- A tiny monkey that sleeps cuddled to a teddy bear believing it to be his mom has amazed keepers at Britain's Bristol Zoo.
Tragically, the tiny red titi monkey's mom Bella died after giving birth, but the baby has survived against the odds thanks to round the clock care from keepers since the hour he was born.
For the past four weeks a dedicated team of keepers have fed him day and night to keep him alive, and now the little monkey, named Pichiku Kid's Nike KD 7 Bright Crimson Black Australia , is thriving.
Bristol Zoo is believed to be the second only zoo in the country to have succeeded in hand-rearing a titi monkey to this stage.
Keepers began by carrying him home in an incubator for the first two and a half weeks and feeding him one milligram of formula baby milk every two hours.
Pichiku, which means little monkey in a local Peruvian dialect, one of the native countries to red titi monkeys, is now being fed every three hours and is taking up to 5 milligrams of milk.
He is still only about 12 centimeters long but he is starting to eat baby rice and learning to lap at it for the first time.
Pichiku is being kept in a small enclosure away from the public for the time being where the temperature is maintained between 22 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius.
"He lies on a soft golden teddy bear which he thinks of as his mum," said keeper Emily Lewis, adding: "He has survived against all the odds Men's Nike KD 8 Wolf Grey Orange Australia , he's definitely a fighter, a determined little one."
Pichiku has also started to climb and develop muscles in his arms but it will be two years before he is fully grown. The next step will be re-introducing him to his dad, Junin, who lives in the enclosure next door.
A spokesman at the zoo said: "Red titi monkey dads usually look after their babies after the first two days before returning them to.
