|BUJUMBURA Shaquem Griffin Seahawks Jersey , Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Burundian national men's and women's basketball teams were unable to attend FIBA Zone V championships that kicked off in Uganda on Sunday, a senior official at the Burundian Sports Ministry told Xinhua on Monday.
""Our teams can't participate in Zone V basketball championships that kicked off yesterday (Sunday) for lack of financial means. The budget allocated to the ministry is insufficient while we (Burundi) have more than 20 clubs or teams that need to be supported,"" said Beatrice Nibogora, spokeswoman of the Burundian Sports Ministry.
According to her, a bill on sponsoring sports in Burundi has been tabled at the east African country's Parliament for analysis in an effort to promote the sector of sports.
Nibogora said, ""The bill on sponsoring sports will stimulate investors and businesspersons to support the sector of sports.""
PARIS, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Foreign policy expert Madani Cheurfa has said the outcome of elections for the French National Assembly will be the real sign of how the French political landscape has been reshaped.
Cheurfa, secretary general of the Research Center at the Political Science Institute in Paris (CEVIPOF), discussed with Xinhua the implications of centrist newcomer Emmanuel Macron and extreme-right candidate Marine Le Pen moving on to the runoff in the French presidential elections.
"The legislative elections next June will be more important than ever and will indicate what will be the practice of power for the next five years to come in France."
"The legislative elections will show if the winner of the second round (Macron according to our projections) will have a large majority or a coalition. This would make us enter into a France where the practice of power will be more animated, more intense," he added.
Addressing the first round of presidential elections, Cheurfa point out that with 7.6 million votes in the first round, the National Front gained close to 1.2 million votes between 2012 and 2017, which is a historic record for the party.
During the legislative elections, the National Front will present candidates in every district and Marine Le Pen herself should run in Henin-Beaumont (northern France).
"If she wins, she could enter the National Assembly and construct a group of representatives with the necessary visibility to create an opposition to Macron. We would be in a fairly unique situation with those supporting globalization and a united Europe, opposed by Le Pen and her supporters wanting a France with closed borders," Cheurfa said.
The expert said traditional French political parties such as the Republicans and Socialists, both eliminated during the first round of presidential voting, risk a further fall in popularity even though they traditionally benefit from "strong local establishments."
"A major discussion is underway to know who will lead the Republican party during the legislative elections, knowing that it is possible that there will be more leaders elected from the National Front than the Republicans," Cheurfa stated.
Everything rides on the rate of voter turnout during the legislative elections. If Macron is elected as French president, he would need to put forward a name for prime minister who will give direction to the entirety of his sponsors from the right, the center and the left, he added.

Porsche and Formula One
The Porsche have not been that successful when it came to Formula one racing. However when Porsche first entered into races they astonished the world with their performance But when they got into Formula one they got some very mixed results. The season that started in 1961 and ran through to 1962 Porsche was a constructor but they only managed to scrape one win which was in a championship race and then a week later they one again but this was not in a championship race. And at the end of the season Porsche decided to give it up as a bad job and due to financial pressures they just could not see it as a viable option Formula one is the most expensive sport to get into and well you need to be producing some results to enable you to get some sponsorship and well Porsche just was not doing that.
Porsche made a come back in 1983 to Formula one however this time they were only supplying engines and not actually competing. The engines were badged up as TAG and they were for the Mc Claren team and boy this combination was a success, the Porsche powered Mc Clarens won two constructor championships and they took three driver crowns this was a success for both Mc Claren and Porsche, this is what Porsche needed to prove themselves to the world that they can compete at the high level and best of all this also showed to the world that the engines are reliable and quick and well if you own a prestigious sports car company then this can only increase your popularity.
With in ten years Porsche decided to give it another go and in 1991 hey started supplying engines to Footwork and the results were a joke. The Footwork team didn't even score a single point throughout the whole season but not only that they didn't even get to qualify for half the races and since 1991 Porsche has not competed in Formula one. However from what I remember the Footwork cars were sold off to the lower Formulas like Formula Two and they w.
